The Promises of God Storybook Bible

Some books look appealing when you see them on a shelf, and this is definitely one of them! I picked this up a while back because I was drawn in by the artwork, and intrigued by the name. I couldn’t wait to dive into “the story of God’s unstoppable love” and share it with you guys.

I am a sucker for Biblical children’s literature, and have several shelves full in my office, and right away I knew this was one I wanted to add to my collection.

A conversational, whimsical, biblically faithful retelling of more than fifty key Bible stories. The Promises of God Storybook Bible lets your child hear favorite stories with new ears, repeatedly assuring them that each word is proof of God’s unstoppable love and unbreakable promises to His people.

After reading the blurb (above) I was sold. How spiritually enriching would it be if our kids knew of God’s unstoppable love and his unbreakable promises!

Each story frames itself around a key aspect of a promise of God’s character. I have included some examples below:

All of these core truths told through familiar Bible stories could help cultivate the faith of the little ones in your home.

Each entry is presented over several pages alongside the most incredible illustrations, with an equally as engaging narrative. Scriptures are referenced and each story concludes with several conversations to stimulate conversation. There are a few sample pages below (though you can’t see any complete stories, you can see aspects of what I have previously highlighted).

I think this is a really, really cool resource. It easily joins the Jesus Storybook Bible and It’s ALL About Jesus Bible Storybook as one of the three books I would wholeheartedly recommend for families with kids. Easily worth the $10 LifeWay currently has it for.

You can find this at LifeWay, Christianbook or Amazon.
